Are you preparing a fun trip itinerary for a big group? Did you just say yes? Then, my friend, you landed on the right spot. I just came back from an amazing group trip, and guess what, I handled the whole trip as a trip leader, which gave me information that you might need for your next group trip.

So if you are searching for a destination that balances relaxation, adventure, and a wide variety of fun group activities, trust me, Myrtle Beach is perfect for you. Whether you are leading a group of students or drained-out corporate employees, it will refresh them from their core.

In this guide, I will share my experience and walk you through some best fun group activities in Myrtle Beach. One thing is for sure, that this itinerary will satisfy everyone in your team.

Thrills and Entertainment: Top Myrtle Beach Group Activities

Shark Tunnel

First things first, you have to know that Myrtle Beach offers world-class entertainment and attractions. This is a destination where you will find the most amazing Myrtle Beach group activities that will leave you speechless.

Now, if your group’s people are like me, who love shopping and dining at different places, then you can add Beach Broadway to your itinerary. Inside this place, you will find some amazing attractions like Ripley’s Aquarium, which has shark tunnels and interactive exhibits, which is again great for people to have fun.

If your group is into educational stuff, then visiting WonderWorks would be a treat for them. But if thrill makes them happy, you will find Family Kingdom Amusement Park on the ocean site that will satisfy their hunger for adventure because they provide rides for all ages, such as the Swamp Fox wooden roller coaster.

And if one is not enough, there is another popular water park called Waves Water Park, which has different types of slides, slow rivers, and amazing wave pools. These are just wonderful activities for a group.

Want something cool for the night? Then don’t forget to add Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show and Medieval Times to your bucket list. When I was there, my group was having a delicious dinner while cheering for our favorite pirate and Knight. Like music? Add The Carolina Opry or Legends in Concert for amazing live music and tribute shows.

These are some attractions that my group enjoyed a lot. Trust me, you won’t regret visiting any of these.

Outdoor Adventures & Friendly Competition

Captain Hook’s Adventure Golf

Myrtle Beach beauty pulls everybody out into the open space. And if your team likes friendly competition, it offers it too. And when it comes to competition, what is better than golfing, right?

We didn’t know about it earlier, but when we visited there, we got to know that this place is called ‘the mini golf capital of the world’. Now, after hearing this, stopping ourselves from playing it was hard. There were various themes in the golf courses available there. We chose Captain Hook’s Adventure Golf and played till we were sweating like hell.

You can either pick this, or there are plenty of options available, like the Aztec temple at Mount Atlanticus. Does not matter which theme or course you choose, one thing is guaranteed that your team will have fun, laughter, and lifelong memories.

Apart from golfing, I also booked sailing boats for my team to watch bottlenose dolphins, sea turtles, and other marine life in their natural habitat. There were also fishing activities available where groups could have a little competition in catching fish.

Other activities like the SkyWheel, dolphin cruising, and seaside adventure are also some great options for outdoor adventure.

Culture and Relaxation: Slower-Paced Group Activities

Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center

Okay, okay, I know not every group trip is about adventure, fun, and thrill. Some are meant for relaxation and a break from stressful life.

On our last day of the trip, when we were all tired, we wanted something just to watch and appreciate. And without doubt, I took them to Brookgreen Gardens. It is a national historic landmark located in the south of the city. This amazing place has beautiful botanical gardens, a Lowcountry Zoo, and the largest outdoor collection of American figurative sculpture in the world. Here you can stop and admire the wonderful art and nature.

You can also add the Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center to your list. It is such an outstanding place. I remember when I was there, we had a blast. We took hundreds of photos with wax figures of famous celebrities.

If you want to challenge your group to check their problem-solving skills, like I did, you have to go to one of the area’s popular escape rooms.

Want these fun and slow-paced activities outside in nature? Visit Myrtle Beach State Park. You can have a little picnic here, and if you want to do some hiking, the maritime forest trails are there for you.

And if you want to do nothing, like some of my group members, you can find a less crowded place on the beach to relax and enjoy the sun.

Planning Your Group Trip to Myrtle Beach: Essential Tips

Myrtle Beach

Look, if you want a fun, stress-free trip, you have to put some effort in before the trip. But don’t worry, it’s quite simple. Try to check accommodations in Myrtle Beach as many as you can, and then match them with your requirements and budget. After this, pick the most suitable one.

If you want a hassle-free trip, try to book tickets and make reservations in advance.

Want some discounts? Whether you go on a fishing charter or live concert, please do not forget to ask for group discounts. There are multiple attraction points and activities where you can get good discounts if you’re a group of 10 to 15 people.

I know bike and car rides are fun on vacation, but with a big group, it can be a big mess. First, you have to book multiple cars, and then reaching the same destination might take different times for each car.

To avoid this, I booked a charter bus service. The best part of this was that our whole group was together and we were dancing and enjoying ourselves on the bus. One more thing I want you to know is that by hiring a charter bus service, you don’t have to worry about the route and parking, and you can focus on fun.

Conclusion

Myrtle Beach is a fantastic destination for group travel. It has beautiful attractions, water parks, gardens, and, of course, how can we forget golf courses.

These amazing places will fulfill the wants and needs of every member of your group. And if your team has some couch potatoes, they can even enjoy sunbathing on the beach.

Use this guide and make your itinerary, trust me, you guys will have fun and make thousands of memories.
