Great Days Out in Bangkok for the Family

Bangkok for the Family

If you are planning a family holiday in Thailand, Bangkok is one place you need to add to your schedule and we recommend at least 5 days in this unique metropolis. Those who think that Bangkok is not family-friendly have obviously not done their research, and to give you some ideas, here is our top 5 list of family-friendly venues in the City of Angels.

Future Park Rangsit

Staying at the Novotel Future Park Rangsit puts you on the doorstep of Bangkok’s premium fun park, where you can spend the entire day. The venue is sitting on top of a huge shopping mall, with a couple of floors devoted to kiddie activity. This is in a part of the city called Thanyaburi and it is such a famous landmark that everyone knows the name. Here you can enjoy a rooftop swimming pool with some scary rides and water slides, plus there is an amusement arcade right next to the 3D cinema. After you have enjoyed the rides, you can shop in the plush shopping mall where you will find some amazing bargains. Check out the many online reviews and you will see how popular this venue actually is.

Safari World, Bangkok

If your kids would like to see some amazing wildlife in a natural habitat, Safari World is the best possible place. Located in Klong Sam Wah District on the Ram Inthra Road, Thailand’s most extensive zoo is home to more than 100 species; the venue is divided into two sections; Marine Park and Safari Park, both offering a lot to the tourist. Doors open at 9 am and we recommend spending a complete day at this great family-friendly venue. Click here to see the top tourist destinations in the world.

Dream World, Bangkok

If you only visit one theme park in Bangkok, it should be Dream World, with over 40 major attractions under one roof. One very popular section is Snow Town, where the kids can build a snowman and go sledding, while there are 3 roller-coaster rides for the adventurer to experience if they dare. A trip on a bicycle water boat is refreshing in the daytime heat, plus you can watch a Hollywood show for free! Located in Thanyaburi, Dream World has an enviable reputation as the top fun park in the country, and for good reason!

Siam Amazing Park, Bangkok

Founded in 1980, this unique water park is the oldest such attraction in the city. Enjoy the largest wave pool in the world (certified by the Guinness Book of World Records) which is great fun for all ages. Ride on the floating log water feature and experience the thrill of the ‘Long Drop’, while there are numerous water pools where your kids can have fun! This venue demands a full day and it is located in the Khanayao district of Bangkok.

Monowheel Go Kart Racing, Bangkok

The only place in Thailand with e-go karts, where you and your kids can race around the indoor circuit and test your driving skills. The karts have adjustable speeds, so kids are safe and for experienced adults, there are turbo karts with amazing acceleration. A great place to go when it is raining, or at any time for that matter.

We guarantee your kids will be over the moon if you visit all or any of the above venues and prior to arriving in Thailand, check out the entry requirements, which can change at any time. There are many family-friendly hotels in Bangkok, but the one we recommend is Novotel at Future Park Rangsit, Thanyaburi.
