So if you are planning to visit the country, it is crucial that you have a look at the country’s travel requirements and for Malaysia, it’s the My Travel Pass. MyTravelPass Malaysia is a nifty program that lets a local and a foreigner enter or exit the country.

Visiting Malaysia with a MyTravelPass

As said before, MyTravelPass is basically a way where locals and foreigners can travel back and forth to Malaysia during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic in the world. It was basically an application that people can apply for via their mail, but the process was pretty fast and efficient as you would get results within 5 days of your application like Universal Travel Pass Login.

Simply visit the MyTravelPass website and see all the available options with my travel pass application. There, you will also be asked to fill in the purpose for the request for entry or exit from the country along with checking the travel pass status.

No Need To Apply for MyTravelPass For Some Visitors

Some exceptions have been made from having to apply for MyTravelPass for certain travelers. Implications have started from October 1.

The department has stated that citizens who wish to emigrate from the country for some particular reasons aren’t required to apply for MyTravelPass Malaysia. These reasons include:

New and old students leave the country for studies or for exams.
Escorts attending to emergencies like deaths or critical illness.
People going to meet their spouse overseas if their marriage was registered before.
Athletes participate in sports, seminars, or annual meets.
Malaysian and foreign diplomats are also exempted from applying to MyTravelPass.

MyTravelPass Malaysia was introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic era. This was launched to make immigration easier for Malaysians as well as foreigners for entry and exit into the country.

Before the introduction of MTP, all such applications for immigration and emigration were done via email. The department was receiving 5000 to 6000 emails daily at that time.
