However, as I love monsoons, I visited the place in August when there is a lot of greenery, and one could immerse oneself in the soothing patter of the rains. 

October to March (Peak Season)This is the most preferred time, offering comfortable weather. Temperatures range from 16 to 22 °C, and post-monsoon greenery remains fresh. It is an ideal time for outdoor activities, sightseeing, and trekking.
July to SeptemberIt is the best time to experience the greenery and photography. The hills become picturesque with waterfalls and mist, though the persistent rainfall can make trekking difficult.
April to JuneSummers can be hot, with temperatures soaring above 40 °C. However, the place offers a tranquil escape if you prefer a less crowded season.

At last, I am sharing my one-day itinerary plan for a better understanding of how the day was. Here is the detailed view with timings on the 1-day getaway to the hills:

  • 6:00 AM: I began the road trip from Hyderabad. It is the preferred time for avoiding the traffic and enjoying cool, peaceful weather.
  • 8:30 AM: Before heading towards the hills, I stopped at the local restaurant for breakfast, enjoying mirchi bajji and tea.
  • 9:30 AM: Started the exploration of the region with Anantha Padmanabhaswamy Temple. Spent some time in a calm atmosphere, admiring the temple architecture.
  • 10:30 AM: Headed towards the trekking route and explored the Ananthagiri forest. I took a nature walk and had a great time with birdwatching and photography.
  • 12:30 PM: Visited the Gadampura viewpoint to relax amidst nature.
  • 1:30 PM: Had lunch in the resort nearby and relished Telangana cuisine.
  • 3:00 PM: After the lunch break, I went to the Kotepally lake and found joy in the water activities like boating and kayaking.
  • 5:00 PM: Enjoyed the sunset views and evening tea near the reservoir.
  • 6:00 PM: Returned to Hyderabad after completing this unforgettable day.
