Review About Innisfree Bed and Breakfast, South Bend, Indiana

Visiting Innisfree B&B was a highlight of my trip. And Stephanie was fantastic. The home furnishings were very stunning, and the ancient house itself was lovely (especially the front porch and swing). She told us about the house’s history and how she and her husband came to buy it. (As an aside, we can’t say enough good things about the incredible softness and absorbency of the provided bath towels; they are the nicest we’ve ever used. Stephanie was really helpful in locating the store where she had purchased them, so we could get some for our own use at home. Finally, the breakfast included a fantastic omelet, fresh fruit, orange juice, and coffee, all of which were excellent choices.

Rooms and Amenities

A spacious and inviting residence with many pleasant rooms and a beautiful collection of sitting, dining, and social places. The hospitality of Stephanie, our host, was greatly appreciated.

The location is ideal, as many of South Bend’s attractions (such as the downtown area, the Four Winds Ballpark, the Historical Society, and the Studebaker Museum, etc.) are within walking distance.

 Dining Experience

The house is lovely and makes you feel at home. Every room was full of interesting things and felt very warm. Stephanie couldn’t have been more thoughtful and organized. She greeted us and offered to show us around and answer any questions we had. The rooms were big and really comfortable. Even though one of our group had to eat a certain way, the breakfast was great. We have no qualms about recommending this B&B to anyone visiting South Bend, Indiana, and we plan to return there ourselves.

Unique Features

My fiance and I spent the weekend here and had a fantastic time. Stephanie’s hospitality was exceptional; guests are welcome to help themselves to a free supply of coffee and tea at any time. The rooms were pleasant, and the common areas were stunning. All the modern conveniences were there, but the tastefully crafted decor made us feel like we’d gone back in time. What really puts the cherry on top is the breakfast. Stephanie inquired if any of us had any food allergies when we signed in; I felt terrible about having to say that I was allergic to dairy and eggs because it can be difficult to locate suitable breakfast options. Stephanie prepared the most delicious breakfast I’ve eaten in ages. It is a given that we will return to this hotel. I appreciate it, Stephanie.

Final thoughts

Overall this hotel is very well regarded and will provide a good experience, no matter what is the purpose of your visit. It is definitely recommended, if you can book it!
