Rules & Regulations at Akshardham Mandir

Here are some rules and regulations that you need to keep in mind while visiting Akshardham Temple. 

  • All visitors must pass through metal detectors
  • All vehicles will be searched by security personnel
  • The following items are permitted within the complex: wallet, shoes, belts, passport, ladies’ purse, baby food, jacket, water bottle, jewelry, and money. 
  • The following items are not available within the complex: Mobile Phones, cameras, USB/Pen Drives, electronic items, umbrellas, toys, food and drinks, drones, Tobacco, alcohol, drugs, pets, luggage, weapons, and music devices.
  • If you were to bring any of the items mentioned above, you could keep them in the free locker room before entering. 
  • Adhere to the proper dress code. Upper Wear: Must cover the shoulders, chest, navel, and upper arms. Lower Wear: Must be at least below knee-length. 
  • In case your dress does not comply with the above requirement, a free sarong is provided for your visit (refundable deposit of Rs. 100) Please return the sarong at the exit.
